1. Conference Date and Location: The Third International Workshop on Astronomy and Relativistic Astrophysics, IWARA 2007, will be held on 3-6 October, 2007, at the Universidade Federal da Paraíba, João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil.

2. Registration and Accomodations: The registration fee is R$500,00 (or US$ 250.00). The reduced registration fee for students is R$ 200,00 (or US$ 100.00). Accommodation costs amount to R$ 500,00 (or US$ 250.00) and correspond only to a stay in a room, including the meals, and cover the whole period of the Workshop. The registration fee and accomodation costs should be paid through two nominal personal checks sent to:

The personal check corresponding to the registration fee will not be reimbursed. Personal checks corresponding to the accommodation costs will serve as a guarantee of participation. see note at the bottom of registration: The Organization Committee is endeavoring efforts to obtain funds to return personal checks to the participants. In case of desistence, participants should communicate the Organization Committee 30 days before the beginning of the Workshop.


3. Language: The official language of the Workshop is English. The language spoken in Brazil is Portuguese. English is the predominant foreign language taught in schools, and Spanish is understood by a good percentage of the population in Brazil.

4. Proceedings: The Proceedings of the Conference will be published probably by the International Journal of Modern Physics D and will include the material of the Review Talks, Conferences, Short Communications and contributed papers.

5. Poster Session: The participants are invited to contribute to the Poster Session. Specific instructions about the format of the posters will be given soon.

6. Contributions Booklet: The abstracts of the contributions will be published in a booklet to be distributed to the participants. Abstracts must be submitted before August 31, 2007, for inclusion in the contributions booklet.

7. Passport and Visa Requirements: Most participants will need only a valid passport. However, a tourist visa may be required for citizens of some countries. In this case, visas can be obtained from the Brazilian Consulate or Embassy in your country.

8. Currency: The Brazilian monetary unit is the "REAL" (R$). The official exchange rate is published daily in the newspapers. Cash and traveller checks are easily exchanged at hotel cashiers, banks and travel agencies. Many hotels and shops accept foreign currency and international credit cards.
